December Fun

December started with a creative shoot at the beach off Dallas Road. A friend and I were experimenting with roses and ocean to create feelings of hope for an upcoming Advent service at the church. Here is one of my favourites:

Then I enjoyed following around B as he created "mud soup" in the backyard. Yes, he wears shorts all year... A telephoto lens let me catch him in action without his knowing.

The kids loved taking out their special ornaments and decorating the tree. This is J pictured with his favourite. Try taking a similar picture with your family and then have your child dictate/write why that ornament is so special to them.

Every year the stuffed gingerbread dolls come out and I enjoy taking photos of the kids with them. This was K's first time with the dolls and she loved them to pieces!

The Advent service was a memorable night and I enjoyed the challenge of photographing in mostly candlelight. The interpretive dancers were a delight to watch and I love how the blur conveys a sense of motion.
